The infamous Russian-born German woman was the centerpiece of Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix “Inventing Anna,” a limited series inspired by her story (real name Anna Sorokin), and a piece in the New York Times titled “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler. Sorokin (31) lived for several years in the 2010s as Anna Delvey, a wealthy German heiress of her own invention, convincing members of Manhattans elite to finance her fine dining and travel.
